Yes safe with thrush medication. You are supposed to 2000mg/day. However, my doctor gave me permission to double it.

Antibiotics. I don't have a pessary. It is well known that antibiotics cause yeast infections. This is why probiotics help as well. They help balance the natural flora that antibiotics kill off.

Morning I forgot to ask you how long can you take d manose for .? Everyday till your utis gone or carry on taking it and if so how long is that for ? Thanks

I take it every day to prevent UTI's from coming. When they still do, not as frequently, I take extra. My friends have great results and have no UTI'S with it. But I think my urethra is so damaged and so low that it is virtually impossible to keep infection away 100%. Plus I have to self cath occasionally, depends on position of bladder, I think.

I know this problem well. UGH!!! Mine are not loose, but I'm on pain meds that constipate. I take miralax, which helps some. I've lost the ability to push, prolapse and nerve damage. My bladder has loss the ability to squeeze. However, my urethra is miraculously working again after radiofrequency ablation to the pudendal nerve. I can open and close it. Problem comes in if bowels not empty or bladder in bad position. Still takes forever to go. Many times, if I double miralax, I will go 8 times a day, at a min of 25 mins each. So controlled by my functions. I wish I knew the best thing to do. Doctors don't want to touch me. Mesh is definitely not an option for me, it ruined my life. I hope they figure out what is going on. I don't see how a prolapse could cause them to be loose, unless there is a partial blockage. If your pessary isn't comfortable, have them change it. Prolapse sucks. No better word to describe it.
