Has anyone attend Bath residential pain management program, at the royal United Hospital?

I would not be able to attend the guys and st Thomas or Liverpool due to my needs. Stanmore is unlikely. I would be attending either the supported adults or the young adults group. If anyone have any information or experience with Bath please put it below as I can't find any person experience online.

Thank you

Hi Thetealharp,

I haven’t attended one of these programmes myself. I can ask Judy our CEO if she knows anything about the program in Bath if that would help

Hi Again,

I’ve just spoken with Judy and she has said that Bath have a very good reputation for dealing with chronic pain. The only drawback is that the program isn’t specific to pelvic pain. But to be honest a good pain management program should be able to work with you and treat you as an individual. It would be great if you could provide some feedback on the program after you have completed it. Good luck with tour treatment 🌟

Hi,Thank you for finding out that information for me.

I have multiple causes for chronic pain, pelvic just being one of them so it not being a specialist isn't as important. It more who will be able to deal with the level of complexity and multimorbity that I have. I would either be going to the supported adults or young adults due the the level of support that I need.

I don't know when or if it will happen as I suspected it could take awhile.

Thank you!

It does sound as though Bath might be a good place for you. I can understand how frustrating it is to deal with different levels and areas of pain. It doesn’t make life easy but hopefully it has made you stronger - every cloud has a silver lining 🌤

Yeah hopefully, it will be if they can deal with the hypermobilibty and autism, and hopefully gastro and Nero. But my Constant will be asking them questions about wether they would accept me and be able to meet my needs. Yeah hopefully it will help, also hope all my referrals get some answers and some things to help!
