Have you tried neurontin (Gabapentin) it’s the only thing that really helps me. Although my situation is likely different than yours it won’t hurt to try. Need to give it a couple of weeks to really see if it helps though.

I’ve been through hell & back with urgency, frequency & incontinence after a bladder neck incision which was performed due to bladder neck contraction after prostatectomy. I’ve tried just about every test & procedure known & simply could not determine what was causing all of my suffering . I finally decided that it was chronic bladder spasms that was causing me to suffer. Oxybutinin did help a little but I couldn’t handle the side effects. After countless tests, procedures & research, I decided to try neurontin for myself & was surprised that it gave me some relief. Again, everyone’s situation is different but I’d look into it if I were you.

I had that about 10 years ago and the vesicare meds help me and it went away after a year-and-a-half and then 10 years on I got now PFD again but mostly rectal and I'm using gabapentin

So sorry to hear what you've been through, and thank you for the advice. No I havent tried gabapentin can you buy it over the counter? Seeing the urologist will be hard due to the coronavirus situation at the moment.

No, it requires a prescription. Oxybutynin can be bought over the counter via patch though

I was just telling someone else I had this about 10 years ago and it was horrible but vesicare helped me but I did have to take it for a year-and-a-half and you can also keep your diet alkaline as possible get some prelief tablets from Walgreens and they take acid out of food so you can still have a little wine a little chocolate or a little coffee... Also get some pyridium from the store I believe the brand name is Azo that will numb all that area so you don't feel it but it does turn your urine Orange but it will give you a break from the burning...the thing is you have to relax the bladder and that's what vesicare, oxybutynin do...you can even get the patch at Walmart for overactive bladder

Yes, I’ve tried all of the above but the side effects were just too much. All valid points though kalecolbe12
