I had it done there about 3 and 1/2 years ago and it made it a little worse.

You had the cryoablation or regular ablation on pudental nerve?

I had it done (hot-they can do hot or cold) and for me it seemed to be more irritating and didn’t help. But nothing has for me. I am considering surgery but trying a different type of Pt first.

What type of Pt are you considering and where in pelvic floor is your pn pain?

My pain estimates from my tailbone down to the front. It is called postural restoration. My pelvic Pt suggested it. The only intervention left is surgery, which I don’t want to do. So I manage. Not great, but it’s what it’s been for almost five years.

What meds help if any?

Lyrica helps my nerve pain. Nothing really works for pelvic pain, I have found. Opioids help a little, but who wants that. Strong cbd seemed to make my nerve pain worse. Maybe I’ll try it again. If I take weed with thc I hate the feeling. I’ve tried marijuana and Valium suppositories (differentiates) and gotten no relief. Dr. Hibner thinks the nerve may be entrapped, in which case surgery is the only thing that works, but his version of the surgery is super invasive and has a year recovery. Only 68% of people who have it are glad, which is lousy odds. There is no test to know beforehand though.
