Large Fibroid and planned Hysterectomy

Hi,

I am new and have been reading others posts for a while

I have had a 9cm fibroid for the last 3 years which has been growing, it is now resting on my spine and causing back pain and the usual heavy periods but luckily minimal pain. Currently I am bleeding 2-3 weeks per month which has finally made my mind up for me, plus starting to impact on my Kidney....

I am 38 and have no plans for children so they have suggested that the safest option is hysterectomy, this is booked for December as I need it to have the least impact on my work and life.....

Any suggestions for preparing my body for this major operation? and anything I can do to make the recovery easiest as possible.

Currently I exercise up to 5 times a week so that will have to stop but want to try and get up and running as soon as possible.

Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you.
