Has anyone tried it? I've had four sessions (2 of 20 mins, over the course of 2 days) and although the doctor said that now my muscle is not contracted as before, everything else has got SO much worse. I wish I'd never done it! I wasnt able to even sit for short periods for three days, and walking was problematic too. The pain has increased dramatically. The doc said that it must be a reaction from my nerve endings, and has now added laroxyl to my medications. Just wanted to warn you in case you were considering this therapy
Functional electrical stimulation - Pelvic Pain Suppo...
Functional electrical stimulation
e Stim with needles ( not the needles themselves ) but the regular estim increased the pain dramatically
The concept being adding increased blood flow without getting to the actual muscles or muscle adhesions only aggravates
That being said, finding a highly trained professional who is an expert in:
Dry Needling
Or
Acupuncture with a dry needling technique using Seirin J type needles to stretch the muscle adhesions and tissue and
Only they can use a Micro Stim pointer which is an extremely low current that helps the tissues further release. Medisana makes one.
Or
Finding a doctor who does Hydrodisection
Which is using the anesthetic injected to plump it up and help stretch the tissue with fluid a series is recommeneded
Hope it’s helpful
I've only seen your reply now! Possibly a silly question, but will the dry needling be performed? Internally (is that even possible?) or outside? Hydrodissection sounds cool, I'll talk about it to my pain clinic doctor when i next see him, thanks so much!
Internal is a suspect question as many define it differently
Dry needling
The needles are 3inches approx in length so anywhere the needle can get is fair game given the practitioners expert experience and willingness
However with scars you don’t feel the needles because of the scarring and the goal is to twirl the tissue and then the tissue can be stretched allowing fresh tissue to grow
Agu punt makes the special needles that catch but a J Seirin Needle can do the job
The tissue must catch the needle allowing the needler to fan and especially twirl
just fanning does not do the job 100% it takes patience but does the job
Well worth finding a practictioner so call everyone till you get someone
Don’t give up looking for someone even though it is hard to find
Are you talking about Sola? I have heard of a type where NASA has invented a device that they put up near the Alcock canal I think, it's like a wand. It has light and warms the area too. Is that it? I was planning on doing this type in about a month. Please, Please let me know if that is it? Ughhhhhh !!!!!!! I just had Rheo, it's stim cell injection through surgery where they inject the stem cells that come from women who have given birth through Cescerian and volunteered their amniotic fluid. I have just had my 3rd injection along with Botox. The doctor suggested that I go through physical therapy along with this Sola. They say it's a near- infrared laser energy and that it's painless....
I was wondering if you feel the Botox has helped you?and do you have pelvic floor dysfunction or what is your diagnosis?
I had never hear of it, but from what I'm reading online they're not the same. As you say, Solá uses impulses of light (photobiostimulation), while what I did was electrical impulses. It's a wand with two metallic rings, and it sends these "shocks" for 10 seconds, then 7 seconds of break, and so on for 40 minutes. The process itself was absolutely painless, the aftermath was and is hell! I think you should try Solá, it sounds much more gentle. I too would like to know if the Botox injections helped at all, could you please let us know?
