Will silent PID stay asymptomatic forever?

Does silent PID show symptoms as the infection worsens over time, or will we never know until we try for a baby? If it does show symptoms eventually, how long will this take?

I was informed of PID after laparoscopic surgery due to fluid in my pelvis. I had no symptoms up until a cyst burst and the fluid was trapped in my pelvis. One of my tubes is blocked from what my doctor believes is the adhesions from PID. I seem to have back aches now after the surgery. I’m hoping it will all go away soon. Wish their was a cure for this horrible disease. Good luck TTC

I had very minimal pain/aches before the surgery. Haven’t experienced much since. Mostly back aches now after the surgery which I’m hoping is all gas still trying to leave my system

Yes the fluid is detected via trans vaginal ultrasound. I would suggest seeing your doctor and requesting an ultrasound. I think it gives them a better view of what’s going on in there. Wishing you the best of luck!

I went for tons of ultrasound examination , but nothing detected : last resort is laparoscopy

I think the laparoscopy will be the final and true diagnosis. They are able to see your reproductive organs after they blow your abdomen up with gas. Hoping all goes well with you too 😀 Keep us updated on any findings!
