Anyone know of a good colorectal consultant, in or reasonably near the East Berks/South Bucks borders? - If so, please pm me with details.

Hi,

I've had a pain in my rectum since January this year. I was referred to a local colorectal surgeon on the NHS, but I had a terrible first consultation with him - which included him performing a flexi sigmoidoscopy on me without my consent and without me having an enema first (which meant that my rectum and sigmoid colon couldn't be viewed properly because of all the poo). I'm therefore going to ask my GP to re-refer me to someone who will hopefully treat me properly, but I don't know who to ask to see.

I'd be grateful if you know of a good colorectal surgeon if you would pm me their details.

I'm also going to post up separately for any recommendations regarding a pain specialist - I think going to a pain specialist will be my next 'port of call' after seeing a colorectal surgeon, so I'd also like to have a name of a good pain specialist 'up my sleeve'.

If anyone knows of a good colorectal consultant (and/or pain specialist) in or within reasonable travelling distance of the East Berkshire/South Buckinghamshire borders, I'd be really grateful if you'd let me know their details by pm.

Many thanks in advance.
