hi about 5 weeks ago I had a prolapse operation in the hospital after the op they told me when i can start my pelvic floor exercises but I cant remember when to start. I've invested in one of them little machines to help. I asked my gp but she didn't know. Can anyone shed any light on this please.

Hello. Did they not put that info on your discharge papers?

I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Best wishes 💗

Hi,

You should be called back for a post op check at 6 - 8 weeks, I would check with your doctor then. I wouldn't insert anything internally until at least 6 weeks as you are still healing. If you don't hear about a post op check I would ask for one. It takes quite a while to recover from prolapse surgery & you don't want to risk it failing or get an infection. Good luck.

thanks xx

You could contact the ward you were on and I am sure the staff will be able to advise you. However I would wait until you have had this confirmed or wait for your sixth week appointment.

All the best. XX
