Anyone been told their Psoas or iliacus muscle is the main reason for pain? My physical therapist said she thinks it is in complete spasm and causing referred pain throughout my lower left pelvis and probably has my ilioinguinal and iliohypogastric nerves pinched. Anyone else had a similar diagnosis? If so, what helped?

Once a medical provider has ruled out something serious like a blockage or tumor, your can try various treatment from physical therapist, body worker trained in medical problems, etc. There are various anti-inflammatory meds/alternative preparations, ice/heat, trigger point and other massages. A spasm can be caused by problems in another body area. Initially you want mild intervention around the spasm gradually moving towards it rather than direct high pressure. Let us know what you find out.
