Is there anyone who suffers with nerve pain over the sacrum and top of buttocks? I’ve searched a few posts and believe it to be Cluneal nerve entrapment possibly.
There is such an agonising ache over my sacrum and SI area and goes into top of my buttocks. It was pins and needles and felt burning stabbing pain.
I’ve been put on pregablin low dose which has took away some pain and pins and needles. But I can still feel pain and sometimes it gets worse.
If I sit and lean on my top of my bum it will go numb very quickly.
Thanks

It hasn’t been diagnosed. That’s why I was asking in here if anyone has similiar symptoms to me.
I’ve always had pain and a problem with my right SI. But this nerve pain over my sacrum and buttocks is a new issue and I can’t work out why or what’s happened
Oh good that you’ve had an MRI and it’s shown up something. Yes it’s very difficult for me to lie on my back as e skin is like hypersensitive. Are you the same?
If it’s over your sacrum top of buttocks etc the same and just very lower back. If there saying on MRI they can see signalling from T12 to L1. Have you heard of maignes syndrome? Also known as thoracular lumbar syndrome?
That’s can create all of our systems and it’s a problems with the nerves further up the back actually. Google it. I wonder if mine could be that but yes osteo or good chiro may be able to sort it or make it better for you. But yes during this pandemic very difficult. I can’t get to anyone either.
Have the medics told you what they think is going on then?
I think we are definitely with the same symptoms, I did see a physio pre lock down via nhs who said it's neve related but never mentioned which nerves or maignes syndrome which I think it probably is.
The exercises he gave bringing knees to chest haven't helped and hurt due to sensitivity on the one side just on the rim if the iliac Crest and buttock pain.
I'm thinking nerve block for a possible remedy but it sounds scary.
I'm going to speak to my dr again.
Just to make you aware my MRI came back normal it's only when I paid £150 to get a second opinion did the report show these findings.
You have to be so careful not to get pushed aside these days.
Oh wow who did you pay to get a second opinion? That’s interesting isn’t it.
Yes nerve blocks only temporary though aren’t they. I don’t think they last very long but it determines the source of what nerve is causing the pain at least.
Im getting 6 nerve blocks and I am on number 3 because of the shutdown I skipped a month with no injections. I am also have endo surgery and hysterectomy tomorrow.
I have buttocks and groin pain right side. Scheduled for endo surgery and hysterectomy tomorrow. and a pudendal nerve block I have had 2 blocks and scheduled for 4 more
I have it 2 nerves cluneal, sacrum nerve entrapment. I am on 3 of 6 nerve blocks and also have endo surgery and a hysterectomy tomorrow. Its horrible pain. I have pn also. Mine affects my buttocks and my right side groin pain. Also pain goes up and down front and rear of my sciatic nerve. Pain meds only take the edge off. I take lyrica and oxycodone and some days I just wanna cry because I am sick of the pain it causes.
