Pelvic pain and mesh codeine

Prescribed codeine and paracetamol on Monday as other meds having no effect whatsoever.seem to be helping a little but yesterday I noticed my lower legs were swollen.has anyone had this or could it be unassociated with meds?

In also wonder if it is related to the mesh as it coincides with that timewise?just wanting an answer.

Hi, personally, I would not take either long term and definitely not together. You could go to your local chemist and ask to speak to a pharmacist to discuss your meds and side effects. Take Care.

Hi there, thank you for your reply.the dr said she was prescribing both but when I picked up my script there was only codeine.I only took paracetamol on first day as I know taking them regularly can cause other damage.I don't know if it's the codeine or my illness.feeling sick, weak tho the pain has eased ,

For swelling I take T Relief under the tongue orally. You can buy it online or at Whole Foods. Call first because it is popular and often sold out. It is Traumeel a homeopathic option to lowering swelling. It is advertised for joint pain but I have it under my tougue and can take frequently to get me through the rough patches because it lowers swelling. When taken orally, it makes me thirsty but that is the worst side effect. A doctor had a compounding pharmacy compound Traumeel in a fatty base. I apply it topically without any side effects directly. You can also get the one's from Whole Foods, crush them yourself and mix with a fatty base like Crisco to apply topically.

It helps me for swelling and every little bit counts.

Thanks guys.Feeling weak ,nauseous and tiredness from the time I got up.cannot function.

Airing my concerns

Trying not to take codeine cos of concern of side effects and long term use tho GP is seeing how I go on it and it is the only med that gives some relief.still no consideration for cause Whilst taking on board advice and suggestions by other members it could be one of many things but I've had no definite diagnosis.Dr says wait til seen endocrinologist on 16th,.incase pelvic pain is related to that department,I knowi it's not.

I'm more tired recently as condition whatever lit is is worsening dailyas well as my fears for the cause.crashing out at 8 to 9 pm and not wanting to get up in the morning..
