Exercise such as walking makes the pain worse. I find siting in the up right position painful and only get relief from hot water bottles and hot baths.

I am suffering with pelvic pain. Had a laparoscopy 2 years ago and had flimsy pelvic adhesions removed. Could it be the same thing again?
Adhesions generally reform. Have you been pain free for two years following removal of adhesions ?
Yes, more or less. I would occasionally get an aching feeling but nothing too painful. I have been told on several occasions that my adhesions weren't the cause if my pain but following surgery the pain went. The doctor has told me they are reluctant to do another laparoscopy at this stage but the pain is really getting me down
If the pain went for a significant amount of time then it probably did help. Do you know whether any adhesion barriers were used during the surgery and if so which ? Have you got copies of the surgical report ?
I am not sure if any adhesion barriers were used as had little time to talk to the surgeon as still felt sedated from anaesthetic. I did not get a copy of the report following the surgery but was told by the surgeon that the adhesions will not have caused the pain but at the follow up appt this was contradicted by another doctor saying it was the likely cause. On the 15th November I was told that adhesions were flimsy so unlikely to cause any pain in the first place and very unlikely to be causing pain now. I just feel frustrated as the pain went immediately last time. I've just been told the waiting list for a scan is 8 to 9 weeks. Not sure if it makes a difference but the pain this time commenced following a run.
Hi the problem with adhesions is that they won't show up on a scan just a laproscopy. The only time they might show up is eg if they were causing a bowel obstruction the bowel would be distended/compressed...
I had surgery for adhesions a year ago and the pain went, still keeping fingers crossed x
