Don't sit for too long, get yourself a cushion with an open middle for when you do, see a phsiotherapist with pelvic floor therapy experience. For pain I take tramadol if its really bad. Daily I take flaxseed oil to prevent constipation, nortriptyline, xanax, cyclobenzapine, a muscle relaxer, before bed. I'm still in pain but its manageable. Do some research on nerve blocks and trigger point injections, some people have improvement from those methods. Good luck to you, hope you get some relief

Imodium is usually not recommended; constipation may result in causing more pressure and thus more pain. Some patients respond very well to Lyrica or Neurontin; these drugs block the pain message from the nerve ending to the brain. Physical therapy, the cut out cushions, trigger point injections and/or a pudendal nerve block are other treatment options available. Part of the reason the you may feel worse at the end of the day is because during the day we stand or sit most of the time. All of the internal organs cause pressure to the pelvic floor due to gravity, thus causing your pain to increase by the end of the day. Good luck!

In my case,I continued to develop worse symptoms.Enlarged area of tightness or spasms.I could not have a bm because of closed muscles. This was so serious, for fear of becoming septic.Enemas did not work, nor any laxative.Accidentally,I learned of a product called Lacy LeBeau,a tea and sold as a weight loss product. Most times,I would use extra strength and even break the bag of mint.IT will work, available at Walmart or on line.I pray also that you are searching for a specialist in this field. You will need one!

Sorry, only just seen your post. I hope you've had a good Christmas, although I know how having PN makes it difficult. I have had mine since February 2009 and it took me a long time to get help. I take 150mg of pregabalinum and 10 mg of amitriptyline every night plus vagifem in an applicator twice a week. I also use a topical cream every morning and every night. I've also had nerve block. Another important thing is to make sure you don't get constipated, don't ever strain.

This site is wonderful, sharing info from other sufferers has been so helpful to me.

I'd love to know how you're doing.
