Fobroscan and AIH

Does anyone know if fibroscan can replace biopsy in the diagnosis of AIH. I had a biopsy years ago when PBC was first diagnosed but the ?AIH is a recent development.

I recently heard of fibroscan. I have Pbc/ AIH. I think you always have to have biopsy for the AIH. But you nurse specialist can advise you better. In my case I am due for review and they cannot do fibroscan so have to have my 3rd biopsy soon :-((

Thanks for this . I thought that might be the case but I never see a nurse specialist!It may also be that the fibroscan is either not available or deemed not suitable. Hope your biopsy turns out ok.
