46yr old PBC w/ potential AutoHep

I was diagnosed in 2014 after extreme fatigue and a positive AMA test. I had done really well on URSO for years until I started the process of a tattoo. It didn't happen immediately but within months I was jaundice, itching, and SICK. My numbers were extremely high and it took months to decide on a treatment - Sertraline. I did see an improvement in itching and my numbers although they are still high - Alk Phos around 450 now. ALT & AST are always high at 78 & 112 respectively - they believe now I have an overlap with Autoimmune Hepatitis. I have also in the last two years went to stage III. This was decided after a biopsy. I do use one of the best facilities on the East Coast for my care. I am wondering if I should look at a Mayo Clinic for next steps.

I am overall healthy at 105lbs, I do not drink, smoke, and eat a healthy diet. I have worked on removing the harsh chemicals from my house and beauty products. I am at a loss and feel like I am getting worse with no real help of the "why". I have tried fenofibrate, and newer just approved meds with zero improvement in numbers or overall physical health.

Any and all recommendations are welcome! I appreciate you taking the time to read my story. Prayers and blessings for all of us and our families that are going through this HELL.

I know how scary it is when those numbers start going up and you feel so badly. Do you think there is any connection to getting the tattoo, the jaundice, and numbers going up? If you have any questions of whether you should go to the Mayo Clinic then do it. You need to feel that you are at the very best place to get some answers. What is your bilirubin number? Is the doctor you see now affiliated with a medical center that has a hematology department/transplant center?
