has anyone been prescribed this or taken it with having PBC and being on Urso? It doesn’t look like it conflicts with URSO but I also wonder if it’s safe with liver disease. My PCP gave me a prescription in case it was needed on an upcoming trip but I have not asked my lover doctor. Anyone taken it?

I was diagnosed with COVID in September 2022 and put on Paxlovid at the local emergency room. I was diagnosed with PBC three years ago, and on Urso for 2 1/2 years. My nurse in the ER told me she had taken Paxlovid and had severe headaches while taking it. I did have the severe headaches and was very thirsty. Other than that I had no other problems.

I caught Covid in May. My Doc immediately put me on Plaxovid. My symptoms cleared up for a few days but came back even worse than before. It clearly did not work very well for me and I reported this to Pfizer. The only real side effect was the absolute terrible taste that lingered in mouth while taking it and several days thereafter. Not sure if my PBC had anything to do with its ineffectiveness.

Yes, in August I got COVID- immediately went on Paxlovid. No interference for me. Just a metallic taste in my mouth from the Paxlovid.

Yes I have PBC take urso daily and took paxlovid with no interactions and without incident.

ok thanks, was just wondering because one of the sets of pills you take (Paxlovid is a combo drug) keeps the other in your liver for an extended period of time.
