Not sure if I have taken my URSO twice is this dangerous. I may have taken them with and after a meal.

I did it once and it upset my gut a little but I was fine. I now put out my tablets for the day in the morning and then I can see at a glance if I taken my medication. Ah the joys of brain fog 😀

I always put my medication in one of the pill boxes for the week. This way there's never any confusion for me.

i dont know how much you take but i am up to 4 500 mg a day to stay in stage one

That's 2000mg a day. URSO is weight based. Are they giving you a higher dose "to keep you in stage 1", as you say, or that's the prescribed dose for you according to the scale?

I only ask cause I never heard that giving URSO in higher doses (not according to weight) can keep a person in a certain stage.

I take a 1000 mg a day. 500mg morning and another 500mg In the evening . The specialist did say to take 500mg at lunch but decided to hold back as I am dieting at the moment and may not need to take that one.

Missing one pill or having one extra, makes no difference, for as long as you don't do it too often. Don't worry about it.

As alluded to above, the odd day of incorrect dosing shouldn't have an effect over all.

I just need to remind you that Urso should be given at 13-15mg/Kg per day.

Any lower is not as effective, statistically speaking, and any higher does not have more benefit. Please make sure you are within these parameters.

If not, ask why.

Feel free to discuss with the Foundation directly.

Thank you. My weight is 76kg.

So, ideally for PBC you would be on 988mg-1140mg per day. So, in practical terms, 1000mg.
