Aching painful teeth and gums
Oh man, I am so sorry about your teeth! I too have a lot of problems with my teeth and bone loss in my mouth. I have a total 9 missing teeth. I have had 5 replaced with dental implants at quite an expense. I have had pain that would shoot through my mouth. The best thing I have been doing is going for dental cleanings every 3 months. This really keeps me on top of any kind dental issues that come up before they get too bad. I have been on this plan for about 5 years now. It seems like it helps. You might try baking soda rinses and see if you can get into a good dentist as soon as possible. I also us a water flosser and a sonic tooth brush 2x a day and I use those little proxy brushes for cleaning between my teeth as well as flossing.. Then I have a special brush I use to brush my gums with.. my gums get really sore if I don't do it. I have quite a program as I really can't afford to lose any more teeth, Best wishes
Pam
I’m sorry you are in pain. I’ve been there.
I think dental problems and PBC run hand in hand due to a couple of things. One is a lot of people with PBC have a vitamin deficiency. Another is dry mouth. I take Salagen to help make saliva and tears and I still have a dry mouth. I have always had a dry mouth and a dentist told me “no saliva, no hope for your teeth”.
My teeth literally started crumbling, breaking off and I had them removed and got dentures. It’s better than the pain for sure. I’m in early cirrhosis and I can’t take a lot of pain killers so I am happy with my choice.
Make an appointment with your dentist and see what your options are. Get a second opinion if you aren’t happy with what they have to say. I got three different consultations.
Had on my teeth removed and I still have pain at times in my teeth which don exist and in my gums. And what it is a sinus pain. My tooth also just crumbled crown caps you name it. They just self-destructive before my eyes. I refuse the expense to try to replace them because of bone issues and money. Don’t mean to be a downer. Love

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your pain and suffering. You need to see a dentist every away so they can prescribe antibiotics and do a deep cleaning to get rid of the gum disease. Gum disease makes it possible for bacteria from your mouth to enter your circulation, leading to health problems. Gum disease cannot be treated at home or with over-the-counter medications. A dentist milltowndental.com/ must professionally remove the plaque on your teeth below the gum line for the gums to reattach. So consult with a dentist as soon as possible. Hope you get well soon.
