I take the flu shot every year. In fact, we are encouraged to do so. 😊

I had it last year and I’ll be having it on Saturday, I had flu the year before and it made me so poorly, I’ll never not have it now.

I am getting it tomorrow. The doctor wants to see me first though. That’s why I reached out to people on here. I hope I don’t get any side effects.

Hopefully you’ll be fine, I had mine yesterday. I’ve had flu 3 times since 2011 when I was diagnosed with PBC, I never had flu before then so always have my flu jab.

Yes, I take a flu shot every year even before my pbc diagnosis. Doesn’t bother me except my arm is sore & the exact spot swells a bit & is warm to the touch. It goes away in a few days...

I have the flu jab every year l have never had any side affects it’s not a live vaccine so there shouldn’t be any side affects other than a sore arm. They do usually ask me if I’m allergic to eggs. I have lupus and sjogrens and personally recommend it as the flu can kill

Yes I always have every year for 9 years with no effects at all.

Last year though I reached 65 that meant having the one designated for the 65+. I did feel a little unwell for 3 days but will still be getting it done Saturday it may have been coincidence,. So I will see. It’s good the doctor wants to see you before hand you’ll have a chance to ask all you need to know. I would rather the jab than the flu.

Hi,

I was diagnosed with PBC in 2010 and have had the flu vaccination since then. Had this year's five days ago. I've never had a problem with it.

I get one every year. Now, because I’m 65, I got the turbo-charged one. No problems!

I have been getting the flu shot every year. I also believe we are encouraged to get one. Anybody with health issues should. It's felt if we get sick, we shouldn't get as sick. I seem to get sick every year around January and February

I never did a flu shot in my life. I don´t hardly ever get the flu.

As far as I know, it is not effectiv in older people anyway.

Never heard that. Older people especially need it. Well, everyone needs it.

I did not get that because they were out. I still have to get the second shingles. Maybe won't be as bad as first but will definitely do it on a Friday after work.

Update: I got it on Friday...the only symptom I got was a sore arm.

I had flu and pneumonia yesterday, so far only side effects two very sore arms making it difficult to sleep. A small price to pay for not getting flu or pneumonia.
