Hi, my generous husband has passed his awful cold onto me. Flowers would have been nicer, but hey ho. Can anyone advice which pain killers are advised as I know ibuprofen is a no no. I should have mentioned I’ve got PBC, Thanks

You should really check with your own doctor as each of us is different. For example, my hepatologist told me a little ibbuprofen every now & then is okay. Doctors offer varying advice.

Ye thanks you’re probably right. Jane x

Paracetamol has always been recommended to me... I also have pbc and was allowed it even at my worse...

Just take care if taking cold products as they tend to contain paracetamol as well... So don't double dose x

Lots of fluids and rest with a little paracetamol works for me. Hope you are better soon.

Thanks Bev5779 I spoke with the pharmacist today and she said paracetamol or Sudafed is all I can take. I didn’t know about 4 only though, luckily I’ve only had 4 so I’ll not need the ambulance ride phew!! Jane x
