Raw fruit and vegetables

Have any of you 'you tube'd' or checked out Dr. Robert Morse on Facebook? He claims that we are very acidic with high ph and of course our genetic weaknesses and that is why we are ill. I watched a few videos and he states we must push fruit (berries and melons) for breakfast and raw veggies to detox our lymphatic system. No meat and no dairy whatsoever. Very interesting. Check him out if you want to see a different view of cause of illness.. Not sure what I think now.. lol

Be interesting to see if PBC foundation respond with there opinions re this article. Healthy eating with fruit and veg cutting down on red meat less dairy and gluten products is a good way which a lot of us follow.

As someone dealing with multiple medical issues...breast cancer, PBC, & lupus, I can attest to truth in what he says. Since drastically changing not only what products I use on my body, home, etc, clean eating is huge. My body was very acidic & since changing foods, my metabolic panel shows me much more alkaline. I’ve been able to completely come off prednisone.

To each his own & you must believe that what you are doing is best for your health all around. Otherwise, you’ll never stick to it & make it a lifestyle change. There’s a reason there’s so much disease & cancer now. As my liver specialist says, it certainly isn’t going to hurt you to eat & be healthier.

I have just done some research and it says

“ The pH of human blood is strictly maintained at about 7.4 (7.35 to 7.45). The lungs and kidneys spare nothing to keep the pH tightly controlled since the consequences of blood pH changes would be life-threatening. ... The pH of the actual food does not dictate the net effect on the body.”

So I think I will just carry on with a balanced diet

Hey everyone...great seminar to listen to when you have the time to do so. Thanks for posting it here. I needed a good reminder of what I need to do for my body. Yep, the lymph system is overlooked most of the time, but this whole thing makes perfect sense. I know there is controversy between Naturopathic practitioners and Allopathic doctors on the the acid/alkaline issue and I respect each sides teachings and education. I just know that when I'm eating as suggested in this presentation, I feel so very much better. My goal today is to pick up a few bottles of cranberry juice so I can make the cranberry lemonade he suggests. Also, the wonderful salad suggestions he has will be great. So, again, thank you for the reminder that how I feel is in my hands and that eating clean will always make me feel better. To those of you who do well on a diet with meats, fish, poultry, grains, etc....I envy you! I am one of those who keeps trying with no success and always go back to vegan/raw when I can. Be well.

Actually acid is low pH not high.

Thanks for posting this donna. It wasn't easy to watch all through. I find his delivery very forceful for my liking: if I choose to listen then I listen and don't need to be shouted at. It felt like he was beating me up. My stomach was feeling very acidic as I tried to hear what he said while striving to filter out his head-bashing style. But I did listen to all of it. It's really useful to be reminded that balance in everything serves us well. Again, thanks.

He has many other videos where he is not like that. I do think he tends to get overly excited as he is frustrated with the medical world not teaching us how to care for ourselves, but again, they are taught pharmaceuticals; basically a band aid! He states we are fruitarians and even the bible tells us not to eat carcasses which makes sense to me. Anyways, just a very interesting view in my perspective and quest to heal :)

I agree it was interesting and I find it really helpful when someone presents an opposite view to conventional medicine. I haven't seen any other of his videos but I did see that he had a different approach when he was interupted to say goodbye to a caller outside his video box. He sounded instantly completely calm and collected. The internet is great!

You make a far better point than he does in my opinion - that doctors are trained only to treat us, not to teach us how to care for ourselves. We'd need a full- time personal physician for that? Some would say we have one and it is ourselves. You already understand this - you are always curious and continually open to finding a way to better health. And I benefit from your enthusiasm to do this and bring it here. And then I have to decide for myself. Best wishes and keep it coming!

Hi Donna, in reply to your final comment in your post -"Not sure what I think now..." I don't know how to load You Tube clip as you have, but to give you a different perspective It may help to see You Tube post by "addictedtoignorance" who takes a close look at Robert Morse. Maybe helpful to load it up as a balance? What do you think?

Best wishes

Hi 220681ok,

This is the video I think you're referring to? Linked above.

in reply to EileenUSA

Hi Eileen! Exactly the one! Each to her own, I'm all for that, but it is important to have a balanced view to be able to choose wisely? This site is after all hosted by PBC Foundation and they're all about the facts. The Bear Facts. Thank you for finding and putting it up.

Best wishes

Hi,

Sure- glad to help by posting the YouTube link you referenced.

I want to be clear though-- while I don't find this guy credible-

I AM a big fan of alternative methods for many things (hey I'm an old hippie, what can I say..lol). And l enourage all of us (as Donna is doing) to seek to find the best ways to maximize our individual health. Hugs to all.

in reply to EileenUSA

Hi Eileen,

Let me be clear too, I'm in complete agreement with what you say here and as I said to Donna earlier, I encourage her to keep at it, the search for something that works better than what we have at present. I'm constantly looking and checking and wondering and trying ideas out myself. I'm not always able to be very discriminating and I do appreciate a bagful of views to help me decide or at the very least, be reminded that other views exist.

I hope you got to train others up now to do some of what you were doing at Christmas, so you don't get 'spread to thin' for the coming holidays and you can enjoy them more. best wishes

Hi,

No worries at all.

I didn't think you were "saying no" to alternative ideas, medicine, approaches..etc.

We all want this damn PBC out of our lives.. and I applaud Donna for seeking.. We need each other. I know we have family and friends in "real life" but unless you have this crazy rare thing it IS hard to wrap your head around what it can do to a person, physically and mentally. Love to all

Eileen

p.s. thanks for asking after me and my "setting limits" on what I am able to do at my church. Don't want to derail Donna's thread- but YES I am doing good at that.
