Hi I have just been told I have copper toxicity. My dr has put me on a regime to detox it's the Walsh Protocol and consists of high doses of zinc selenium b. Vit vit c and gluthionine
Just wondering has anyone had this treatment and does it work

I have not heard of this before. Do you know how the copper toxicity was caused? I would image you would need to find the source of the problem as well as taking the treatment.
Thanks butterflyEi, I'm not sure other than I undermythylate but not hugely and that can prevent the copper being discharged from the liver. I was reading some info on pbc and I thought it was fairly common with this condition. A regular GP doesn't do these bloods I attend a Integretive doctor. Maybe this is not the case.
Are you diagnosed with Wilson disease (copper overload/accumulation?) then you need special chelation therapy etc see this link below. There are also dietary advices for low copper foods I am not familiar enough with the Walsh protocol and thought it is a general autoimmune diet. Copper overload is a very specific condition. Hi martinap no I haven't Wilson's syndrome from what I've been told it's from undermythylating which I don't know a lot about, I thought it was from my pbc
