Has anybody suffered with orange patches on the skin

Does it look like your skin suffer a burn? I had one like that on my forearm for 3 months. Dermatologist gave me hydrocortisone ointment & she said if it didn't go away in 3 months, she would do a biopsy. It went away.

Hi Janine,

Yes, I have round orangy brownish patches (hyperpigmentation), about 1-2" across.

They're on pressure points ie front of knees, on the bony ridges on the tops of my feet (I do a lot of kneeling)

Slightly rough but don't itch at all.

They never go. Had them for a few years now.

No doctor or nurse has been interested in the slightest.

However I did read something about them and saw pictures that were identical ages ago - but I haven't been able to find the same website again.

I thought there was a connection to the liver but I'm asymptomatic for PBC.

I've had a mostly round area on my right cheek for at least 10 years that's orangish and getting larger. The skin isn't different; it looks tanned. I never knew why it showed up but now I'm guessing I've had PBC for a while (I was diagnosed in Nov. of last year). I noticed a couple days ago that I have a lot of "liver spots" on my right thigh now and I've had a few on my arms and legs for a while now. They're showing up pretty quickly it seems. My face still looks pretty tan which is unusual since I'm in Minnesota so usually I'm pretty white by now.
