I had no problem finding annual travel insurance last year through my bank, cost £80 which I thought was ok for worldwide insurance. Now I have a problem, I am on clinical trials for my PBC and have been feeling better but, since December everything I eat causes very loose stools almost diarrhoea. GP has checked and no bugs so I'm going back tomorrow for a follow up. I've lost 6lb in weight which I don't like. Now slight pain just below breast bone. Could this be the gall bladder playing up? I really love food and this is making me very fed up.
Trial nurse says this not related to the trial meds so I'm hoping it's not another immune disorder to add to my PBC.!! I'm going to India in April on an organised tour and therefore have to be sure that my insurance will cover all eventualities. Has anyone any experience of how insurance companies view this type of issue which may result in a hospital referral tomorrow? The NHS is in a bit of a mess so I might wait weeks for an appointment with no further investigations being done until I get back. Hope someone can give me advice.

I dont know the name of the drug, its just numbered. The trial started 6 months ago and final review is Dec 19. Im told that so far the results look promising but....as the drug isnt registered yet, i stop taking them when the trial ends. I have a feeling that my GP will be referring me to the same liver team at Kings to investigate whats going on.
Just was woundering because I'm on a trial which is called mbx2085 and results are really good. For the insurance question I use staysure which are reasonable. The cost will go up if you have got varices or had jaundice. Cost still low for fibrosis.
Thanks for that. I dont have fibrosis,PBC and now what evers going on in the colon. Did a lot of reading last night and could be Crohns. Another auto immune disorder!
Spent 20 minutes filling in a bank form for travel insurance only to be refused it at the end😦. My liver results just came back normal from my annual gp check.
