Hi Louisethew,I have been diagnosed with PBC for 7 yrs.I have travelled extensively world wide, stage1 and well in myself. It depends on if you have any complications. You can get travel insurance to travel , but they will not cover PBC. My insurance company is with Lloyds bank, hope this helps.

Boots travel insurance. Under £100 and covered me for pbc/aih/sjogrens and crest for holiday to Canada.

World First insured me for multi-trip in Europe. I’vehad PBC for 12 years and declared mild varices and portal hypertension. Holiday safe would also insure me. You could also try Boots and Avanti. Hope this helps for future holidays.

I just got travel insurance through GeoBlue. They have a Voyager Choice that cover

pre -existing conditions as long as you hold insurance at home. No questions asked regarding conditions or info. on main insurance. They are US based, but might be able to help you as the provide worldwide coverage

I fly places and on vacations. I don't get travel insurance - because it doesn't cover you for what you already have anyway. Even if I got travel insurance - they don't cover you for any pre existing conditions.

Lots of companies will cover you for pre-existing conditions, including PBC. You just need to search them out and make sure you tell them everything. Plus, even if some pre-existing conditions were refused cover, I think Id' rather know that I was covered for a car accident or a heart attack.

you have to tell them u have exsisting conditions it bumps the price up admit but best be safe than sorry u will find plenty that will take on exsisting health i had a nephew who thought he did nt need to tell them he had a kidney prob he had a fall and broke his leg because he did nt tell them about kidney his insurance was null and void it ended up costing him over £50 thousand pounds to get sorted and home

It's a mine field. How can a broken leg have anything to do with his condition think most companies will try to avoid paying if they can.

i should have read some of the previous replies to your post there are some great deals my problem seems to be our age once you pass 60 or 70 it makes a difference takes me nearly an hour on the phone to declare everything for the both of us so I just go with the company I used before. Will try the post office next as they look a good price
