Well folks I have had my transplant and am now back home!!!!!!!

I got the call at 4.15pm on 22nd June and by 6.30pm was ready to kiss my husband goodbye (very emotional) and go to theatre. Everything went according to plan and the surgeon phoned my hubby at 12. 30am to tell him as promised.

I spent 2days in the ICU then was given my own room where my husband never left my side they even provided a fold up bed for him.

My pain was well managed had scans and xrays then miraculously was discharged exactly a week later.

There is a long road ahead but with this gift I'm willing to give my all.

My itch totally disappeared from day one and having lived with it for over 10 years I can't begin to tell you how that feels.

I will attempt to give you updates as I go on and I hope that this message brings hope to those of you waiting and to those of you plodding on as I did until being listed in January this year.

Best wishes to you all.

Debbie.

This is great news! So happy it all has gone so well and now you can get out there and live the rest of your life. Make sure you have a little fun (or a lot of fun) every day. It' s a miracle they can even do transplants. You're a miracle!

Pbc is actually a disease of the bio duct. My question is do they transplant that as well or what do they do? Is it worth the pain?
