I have no problem with Ursofalk i would go see your GP about it and maybe get a different make. Urso has a few different names good luck hun.
Hi Tina
Sorry to hear that you are struggling with feeling sick. I was diagnosed with pbc in July. As you will know from this site people can have varying symptoms. I was diagnosed in July and a major symptom for me had been feeling sick so much so it affected my appetite. When I first went on the Urso (I take Ursofalk 250 hard capsules x 3) I felt worse and I can relate to that sick feeling in the morning which seems to get better as the day progresses. I think as Cazk suggests go and speak with your Gp. I was referred to a dietician who gave me some good advice in general about my diet. Also the advice from other people on this site such as eating little and often does help me with managing the sick feeling.
I can honestly say I felt pretty under the weather when I started on the Urso. I now think that perhaps I was generally unwell and run down at tbe point of diagnosis, so I don't think the urso is totally to blame for how I felt. After about a month of being on the Urso for me the digestive problems seemed to subside a little bit. However I do still get days when I wake up feeling sick and feel relunctant to eat.
Look after yourself Tina, and take some time out to adjust if you are able. This and having the support of the people here and at the pbc foundation have made things easier for me.
Perhaps your Gp can advise you about how and when to take the urso, or can suggest gradually building up your dose.
I hope you start to feel less sick soon, I know it is such a horrible way to start the day.
🙂
Don't worry the sickness will get better it's only the body reacting to new medication. I felt I had morning sickness every day for couple of months after talking Urso but that was 15yrs ago but please take the tablet as I feel fine now. Take the tablets after food (I take mine after breakfast 250mg x 3) it's better with a full stomach. Good luck hope you feel better soon.
I find I'm better if I take it three times s day directly after each meal. X
Hi all, very interesting i can feel sick different time of the day. I haven't taken my urso as i take it after food.
If i haven't eaten in the morning by lunch time i could feel sick and generally unwell. I just put it down to PBC and not the tablet, as sometimes i dont feel like food have gone of meat also.
Hi Tina I was diagnosed 4 weeks ago and felt sick for the first 3 weeks and generally unwell but that is all beginning to subside a bit as my body gets used to URSO. I do occasionally feel sick after taking it but definitely getting better. Hope you feel better soon.
