Does anyone suffer from oral thrush? I have had this many times and it starts by feeling extremely tired, heartburn, fuzzy feeling on my tongue then white coating on my tongue.
Medication from doctor helps but thrush often recurs .
Would like to know if anyone else has this.

I get thrush, have had it in my mouth, oesophagus etc. Its very painful. Antibiotics bring it on, so i avoid these unless necessary, but i also think my meds cause the one i get in my oesophagus (i,m on lifelong high dose esomeprazole or Nexium) After they found the candida i had in my oesophagus i had to have an HIV test, as candida is prone in people with HIV. Negative thankfully! Also if you get a dry mouth (i have secondary Sjogrens) then you're more likely to get it.
oh, and avoid sugar, candida 'feeds' on it!

Yes quite often, I have an inhaler for my bronchiectasis, and it definatly cause it. Also get it elsewhere ,iIuse natural yoghurt on a tampon and it helps alot. But the question why we get it ?? Dont know, yes penecillian/antibiotics does make it occur, but i get it when i am not on them?? Would be nice to know how not to get it. Have a feeling it is not unrealated?? I am sure it can be a side effect of PBC?? I'll try and look again on the net..
I had problems for years with yeast infections. I started taking acidophilus and that all ended. I asked my GI dr. if it would harm me and he said no. They call it probiotics for good intestinal health. Antibotics will kill the good bacteria we naturally have in our gut for digestion and cause a yeast over growth, I think is how this happens. Yes sugar does feed it.
