Low Iron?

Hi ,

I was just diagnosed with PBC Cirrhosis last week. I have had low iron for quite some time, prior to bring diagnosed.I actually get iron infusions for it. Just wondering if anyone else suffers from low iron?

Yes. My iron was so low before I was diagnosed over 4 years ago that when the infusions didn't work quickly enough I had to have two blood transfusions before biopsy. Since then I have been on iron tablets. They took me off them for about a year and it depleted again so I ended up with an infusion and have been oniron tablets every day since. Only one daily now for about a year, seems to be working, though in my last bloods it appears B12 is low now.

Yes, I have PBC and I have had iron infusion. I have low iron, low vit D, low blood pressure, underactive thyroid. I have not had my b12 checked.
