Hi, I have people coming over in a few days so have been cleaning. While stretching up high several times I suddenly came over feeling very sick and began to retch. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi cclcnal

I get dizzy and feel uncomfortable in my stomach but have never retched.  Did you get a dizzy head as well.

Not sure what you can do about it however since finding I was low on Vitamin B and now having injections I have not had the dizzy head.

best wishes

I did feel dizzy as well, but I often do. It's just one more thing I will have to remember when I eventually get to the hospital. Will need to write a list of things I want to ask. If given the chance that is. I've read on here about people being low in vitamin B but never been tested I don't think. Should I ask to be?

I believe but am not 100% that because I suffer with reflux and take medication prescribed by the doctor it means that my body does not convert VitB12 leaving me deficient.  A simple blood test can confirm whether or not you are deficient in that vitamin.  Vitamin B deficiency also occurs naturally when we are older or because of things like celiac disease.  I was also found to be border line for Vitamin D (I arranged that test privately through Better You, it was very easy -

betteryou.com/vitamin-d-tes...  Of course this is something your GP can also check.

Yes do ask the doctor.  I have copied a Web MD link which explains it all much better than I and you can see what symptoms match

webmd.com/food-recipes/guid...

Even when writing a list if you are in the UK there is limited time with the GP.  I wrote out a letter and handed it in to the receptionist for the GP and took a copy into the appointment time so that all my symptoms were written down with both of us having a copy we quickly went through everything.

Since starting my loading dose of Vitamin B12 injections I have not since had a dizzy head.  I am due for the first of my three monthly injections early May.

Hope all this has helped and do let us know how you get on.

Hello cclcnal7.

It could be low blood sugar.  Try having a snack.  I find that early morning I can feel a bit light-headed and sometimes feel a but nauseous but at the same time know my stomach is empty and I need to eat something.

Hi cclcnal7; I've had nausea , retching, from getting over tired, sometimes from extra physical activity.  Sometimes I'm not good about staying well hydrated . Sometimes being under more stress than usual will affect stomach. Be sure to tell your doctor about this episode, anything out of the ordinary Is worth mentioning.
