Do you take 3 ursofalk tablets a day in one go or 1 in the morning, 1 at lunchtime and 1 in the evening?

I am taking them spread throughout the day but, I keep forgetting them. I'm a little worried about taking them altogether. In case they make me feel unwell.

Hello Mayflower53.

Well apparently there is no wrong way to actually take the urso. Depends how you feel about taking them all at once if that is what you want to do.

I was taking 2 x 300mgs per day when I was diagnosed in Dec 2010. I started off with one at breakfast and one around 9p.m. I got initial side-effects and it was at night when I suffered with heartburn. I did also feel bloated for a few months.

I then decided to take the 2nd tablet just after the evening meal and felt that was much better for me. I have experimented with the urso taking them in allsorts of combinations ie one at breakfast, half at lunch and half at teatime (this didn't feel right nor did taking 4 half tablets throughout the day). I did take them all in one go at morning with breakfast earlier this year but for me that was short-lived as within a few hours I was itching badly, something I never tend to do during the day (I'm a night-time itcher). I myself h aven't yet tried taking all the urso at night because I am not sure if I would suffer heartburn. I know some days when I don't feel like much in the way of the evening meal, I can get mild heartburn and I think due to the fact that I've not eaten enough for the urso.

Don't worry about forgetting them during the day, if you feel ok just take what you've missed later on. I do think tho' that with the urso it is best to get into some sort of routine if possible for yourself as I don't actually think it really matters that much with regards to taking the urso.

I know sometimes these days especially following breakfast, I have to think 'Did I take the urso?' simply because I think once there at the side of a meal, it is just done automatically! Now that does scare me!!!

I had to take some other medication and my doctor said that it was fine to take 'Urso' in one go so that I could take the other tablets with the right gaps!! I hope that makes sense? x

I take 3 Urso after breakfast and have done so for 13 years. I tried to split them in the beginning but I too kept forgetting!

I started Urso 3 times daily and for the same reasons as you (forgetful, brain fog, etc,) I decided 3 in one go better than missing them? I mentioned to my Dr. (has dry humour) his response, a shrug of the shoulders, a grin and they spend millions researching the best advice and you override it.... but I believe he agrees 3 at once better than missing them all together. I take at night in the vague hope if any side effects they might be stronger whilst I sleep.

There's nothing wrong with taking them this way.. My hepatplogist told me to take all at night so it's not interfered with by other meds or vitamins

Hi, I take 1 with breakfast and 2 with my evening meal. Been doing this for 13 yrs now. In the early days I got a Mon to Sun pill box set, it helped me keep track.

All the best

I take all mine with my evening meal now as thanks to another member telling me to try it, I find I feel heaps better than taking one three times a day.

Thank you everyone, I feel reassured that taking them altogether will be fine. Now I've just got to decide when I take them :-{}
