urge to urinate, with pink in pee

Had an iron infusion and started B12 injections EOD a week ago, and today have strange sensation in bladder and sudden urge to pee, and it was pink. I have read that extra b12 can cause this. What are peoples experiences. I hope it is just excess B12 and nothing more sinister.

Yes B12 can make your pee pink.Its the way the excess is excreted .

I've never experienced this from B12 but have from fresh beetroot!

Also have had bright orange pee from vitamin supplements. I think B2/riboflavin

It's nothing like blood. .only the colour.

A sudden urge to urinate, a strange sensation in the bladder and pink urine could be a urine infection. Might be worth a trip to your G.P. to get a urine test. A simple dip test will tell if the colour is blood or not and if there are any indications of infection.

I have experienced the reddish urine. It is disconcerting.

I at first saw it as excess B12 as that makes sense. I first experienced it when starting a trial of Betotiamine B1 utilizing information from Elliot Overton. B1 in the amounts I am taking is a life changer for me.

What I have now concluded it is that how my body utilized B12 was temporarily changed with the addition of B1 and that caused by body to underutilize B12 for a week or so. Hence the pink color.

My urine is not pink now.

We are all different ….My pee goes a strongish green colour after I self inject and then slowly normalises over a couple of days. I use it as an indicator of when to SI again. Urge to urinate is common with me when I assume there is too much B12 in the system

I think a quick check at the GP is probably a good idea to rule out other issues.
