Im just 71 and have been s.i. for nearly a year now. It has been quite a journey so far, but I m better than I have been for a decade. I expect to further improve and so will you too ..
I keep my current box of ampules and vial, protected from light, on the top shelf of the fridge. Strictly speaking this is not necessary until summer temperatures.
B12 should be stored in cool, dark place.
Do not freeze ( as if you would!).
Summer temperatures 75 degrees f and above, store in fridge, top shelf.
Great news. Keep us updated and remember that some symptoms may worsen before they improve (a bit like homeopathy) but that's just a sign that it's getting to work. Good luck. x
While the instructions say to keep the temperature below 25C, it is better to keep it from 4-8C to enhance the life and retain potency for a longer period. I keep them in the fridge (not freezer).
I do the same in the top shelf of my fridge door. It sits on top of a good thermometer and is very stable on 10 degrees Centigrade. I think this is the idea temperature.
I feel like this topic has been discussed before. I am sure I had to have checked it out when I first started getting my Pan Pharma from Germany. I have been storing my ampoules in a closet. Our house never gets warmer than 73 Fahrenheit or ~22.5 Celcius. I have a lot of ampoules; some are about 9 months old now. Should I have been storing them in the frig all this time? They are in a dark closet and the house never gets warmer than stated. I wonder about the potency of them now. (the expiry date is in 2025)
I asked the nurse who did my NHS jab yesterday and she said they don't keep their stock in the fridge...in a locked cupboard,......of course!!!......However how much stock they keep and for how long I couldn't assertain..........I'm going to keep mine in the fridge and assess how it goes......This whole condition is a constant learning curve......
Wow, I hope I don't have 9 months of degraded B12! I am sure I checked on this years ago. Maybe not here, but I would have wondered immediately how to safely store them.
