Ordering B12 depot

Hi all,

I needed to replenish my B12 stocks for self-injecting. Fortunately, I've enough for the next couple of months. I've previously used Versandpo.de, but having checked last night, both they and Bodfeld are showing out of stock on the Panpharma 100 mcg depot.

Bodfeld have replied saying they expect new stocks early 2023. Does anyone know why these are sold out, as online German pharmacies have them in stock, just not to supply to the UK?

Yes , I’ve noticed that also , but only concerning the Panpharma B12 Depot ampoules. You can get Hevert and Pascoe B12 depot from them. I’m using Pascoe , as I couldn’t get Panpharma . but they are 1.5 mcg . These 2pharmacies were the pharmacies of choice with members of this forum .

I have found that apotal.de have Panpharma B12 depot ampoules and do deliver toUK, , costing €8.13 for a packet of 10 . The courier costs €19.90 You can pay by PayPal or with a card .

Thanks wedgewood . I'll check that one out. I'm always a bit reluctant to try anything different now I have something that works! Can't see how it's really a supply issue if they're available elsewhere for German customers. Just made me a bit concerned this avenue was drying up too...

I got paranoid about it . I got my daughter who lives in Germany , to look on versandapo and bodfeld. And Panpharma b12 depot is not available to Germans either . I'm relieved about that !

I tried to pick up my B12 prescription yesterday and they were out of stock, said it'll probably be back in next week.

How the price has risen! - the last 100 ampoules I had delivered pre Brexit cost €63 delivered!

Yes. It has shocked me too ! More than 1 element involved I think . Energy costs , raw material costs , rising wages , and a general jumping on the bandwagon of price rises .

Thanks for the link wedgewood . I've placed an order, so finger's crossed all's OK. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction! :)

Phew , I’m pleased you could order ! I’m always nervous about giving advice like that , because things can change so rapidly ., Thev courier costs were high . I think it’s because the smaller online pharmacies aren’t able to get a good deal with the courier companies.

Haha! I wouldn't have held you responsible wedgewood ! 😉 Yeah, I know what you mean about delivery costs, but spread over the time it'll take me to work through them, it's worth it. Thanks again. Have a good day.😊

Does anyone know if these sources have expiry dates of more than a year? I have recently increased my injections (trying to find the sweet spot) and I know my batch I got in October won’t last as long as I planned. I want to order in mid to late winter as I am in the US and our hot weather lasts lasts longer and longer every year. Thank you.

Still awaiting mine, so if it helps, I'll post on here when I get them. 😊

Thanks. That would be helpful. Hoping to get a “newer” batch with a longer expiry date. I was disappointed in my last lot, though now that I am injecting more, the one year date will likely be okay. I want to wait a few months so the expiry dates aren’t too close together. My these supply chain shortages and new rules have certainly caused a problem for us. With the help of each other, hopefully we will all remain suppled.

I too had several anxious weeks trying to obtain B12 ampoules from Germany. Thanks to the helpful advice from Wedgewood and others I got some from Mariebrunen pharmacy. Same price but high postage.

Think shortage may be due to fact product is made in China where factories are shut down due to covid.

In meantime following representations in writing to my GP, they have agreed to restore frequency of prescription to every 6 weeks. Let's see! They let me have 3 ampoules.

I ordered from versandapo a couple of weeks ago, had a few emails saying the order was delayed then the order turned up after a week. I'm now ok for two and a half years. I use the cheaper form of b12 which cost me @£92 for 200 vials including delivery. Hope you don't run out.

I'm ok for a couple of months at my current rate I think. I wouldn't even really be thinking about it right now if we were pre-brexit, but it's that ever-present worry of there being no stocks at some point down the line. Glad to hear you got sorted though. 👍
