REGARDING ROTEXMEDICA B12 DEPOT

This product is now being sold under the name of Panpharma B12 depot . It has the old familiar packaging . I’m not surprised , as Panpharma purchased Rotexmedica about 2years ago .The new reference number is 16199653 . It’s made in the same laboratories, Still 1mg x 1ml ampoules . Everything the same , but now called PANPHARMA .

As yet only the 10 ampoule pack is available . I’ll let you know if the 100 pack becomes available .

Yes it’s just crazy that we can’t just walk into a chemist and buy B12 ampoules , like they can in Germany ,

German online pharmacies that will ship to U.K.

Brexit has caused problems for German online pharmacies that were supplying vitaminB12 ampoules to the U.K. They now have to register with U.K. customs and collect any VAT for them and have extra paper work , customs documents etc because we have voted to leave the single European market .So many of those pharmacies have given up shipping to U.K. . Some , thank goodness, still do .

bodfeld-apotheke.de. A large and reliable pharmacy , but they now only accept payments from U.K. by Bank Transfer . Simple and free of charge if you have mobile/ internet banking. They supply the information you need to make a transfer . Otherwise it’s a trip to your bank and a charge of £25.00!

Courier costs €9.89

apotheke-marienbrunn.de Delivery €12.95

The drop-down list of countries on this site calls the U.K.

“Vereinigtes Königreich Grossbritanniens und Nord Irland”

( The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in case you don’t recognise it !)

The Rotexmedica packet is shown blank - Maybe because a firm called Panpharma has purchased it and they might change the packaging — but I don’t know . But not to worry -they send the right stuff in the usual packet

shop.apotal.de courier €19.95 takes PayPal and cards

apohealth.de. click on American flag for English(!)

Courier €14.90

pharma24.de

curavendi.de. Courier €19.34

Amazon.de ( German Amazon) Obtainable in English

At the moment they are not stocking Panpharma b12 Depot . They have Hevert B12 Depot , but they come in 1mg x 2ml ampoules , and are more expensive than Rotexmedica . But do try to see if they stock Panpharma again . Reasonable delivery charges .

——————————————————————————

Search for Panpharma B12 depot ( Hydroxocobalamin)

These ampoules are 1mg x 1ml

But if you use the following reference numbers , you will get the ampoules you want.

For packets of 10 and multiples thereof — 16199653

For packets of 100 — not yet announced

This is correct for September 2021 . Can be out of stock sometimes , but only for a day or two "

If a site is only in German , use Google Chrome or a translation app.

Hevert also have B12 depot ( Hydroxocobalamin) ampoules They are 1mg x 2ml though -same strength but more saline Also more expensive

Pascoe make 1.5mg x 1 ml ampoules .

Needles, syringes ,swabs and yellow sharps disposal boxes are obtainable from-

medisave.co.uk

exchangesupplies.org. ( Needles and syringes)

Intra-muscular injection needles 25G x 1inch

Sub-cutaneous injection needles 30G x 1/2 inch

Withdrawing needles 21G x 1 1/2 inches.

Blunt ended needles with or without a filter are also obtainable.( to withdraw the solution out of the ampoule ) Using the injection needle for this will make it blunt (Ouch!)

In theory one can use the injection needle for withdrawing , by turning the ampoule upside down . I have never managed this ! I lost the contents when I tried !

Best wishes .

Many thanks for this updated information wedgewood . I have tried Amazon.de this morning for B12 Depot, but they are not showing it is available.

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood in reply tonightingale-56

They do have Hevert B12 depot , but rather expensive at €16.39 for a packet of 10 ,plus P&P at 2.55 ! They are 1mg x 2mlampoules

Bodfeld have Panpharma

(formerly known as Rotexmedica ) B12 depot for €5.98 for a pack of 10 ref. no. 16199653.

, but courier costs €9.89 for any amount of packs , and you have to pay by BANK TRANSFER .

wwwpharma24.de have Panpharma b12 depot at €6.53 and courier costs of €15.

wedgewood Thank you for such a brilliant post. It's a pity this board doesn't have "sticky" posts because that would be a good one. After a break of a yearor two, I'm catching up with ordering B12 and that is exactly what I need to know.

Try the spray that goes under your tongue works for me.

Sprays and sub-linguals do not work for the majority of Pernicious Anaemia patients Injections work for everyone

I ordered Vitamin B12 Depot & received from Germany on Tues - as the "patient notes" are in German - I thought I would send a message to the manufacturer asking if they have the patient notes in english - here's the reply I just received - which is now worrying me....the email address this was received from is this.

pharmacovigilance@panpharma.fr - and the message:

"We thank you and acknowledge good receipt of your request regarding Vitamin B12 depot Panpharma.

As our Vitamin B12 depot is distributed for use in hospitals, could you please tell us how you purchased this product?

In order to process your request correctly, could you also please indicate us the batch number of the product and send us a picture ?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I remain available for any further information.

Best regards."

So - it looks like something which is legally available ? over the counter in Germany - should not have been sourced by a UK resident ?

I've not replied & am inclined to ignore it - but it is quite worrying....

I could have had my friend in Germany source it for me & post direct to me - he has offered - but I do wonder whether there are UK exclusive things going on here...

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood in reply toG_Jones

Yes , I would ignore it too ! I see that it’s come from the new owners in France ! There is absolutely nothing of interest in those patients notes !

Possible side effects - acne .and anaphylactic shock if you are allergic to any of the ingredients .

Keep ampoules in the dark ( no mention of temperatures )

Not to use after expiry date .

Keep away from children .

Can’t be overdosed .

In first weeks of use, inject twice a week , thereafter once a month

Some ( not all ) reasons for B12 deficiency are mentioned .

It takes two pages to print all of that !

I believe that in France B12 ampoules are only obtainable on prescription , like here in the U.K. Maybe that’s why you were asked the question .?

In Germany , where the ampoules were and still are manufactured (Rotexmedica has been taken over by the French company Panpharma )

B12 ampoules are an Over The Counter medication , ( Thank goodness !)

Cetus profile image
Cetus in reply toG_Jones

G_Jones That reply sounds like a survey for the seller's own marketing purposes. I guess they don't normally get domestic customers buying such quantities and have assumed it must be for a hospital. They must be enticed by the prospect of selling you vast qualitites!

G_Jones profile image
G_Jones

ok - not having self injected before - I thought it was a good idea to see the patient notes - couldn't find a translated copy anywhere - so sent a message through the panpharma website....

The tone of the message makes me wonder if they are concerned there could be knock-offs on the German online market (did make me wonder too) - even if it was illegal for me to buy online in Germany for delivery in UK - I could easily have got my friend in Germany to purchase and send direct to me - assuming UK customs didn't see it...

I am having difficulty getting my usual Rotexmedica B12 - can I ask - has anyone tried Vitamin B12 Plus Folic Acid Hevert Ampoules, Pack of 20 Ampoules from Amazon .de? Thanking you in anticipation,

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood in reply tojacjc

I’ve not tried those. You can get the Panpharma B12 depot ( Hydroxocobalamin) from

bodfeld-apotheke.de

They ration you to 3 packets ( 30 ampoules) and you need to pay by bank transfer . which is easy and free if you have internet banking . They send you the information you need . €9.00 for postage . Well they use DHL inside Germany , but Royal Mail deliver in U.K.

ref no for those ampoules is 16199653

Best wishes

wedgewood profile image
wedgewood in reply tojacjc

Just been online and bodfeld state that the ampoujes can take 1-2 weeks to arrive . The site is in German so you might need Google chrome for translation. Also do register , and when filling out address you MUST enter your country FIRST , so that your postal code is accepted .

thanks for that Wedgewood. I recently tried to order from them but have not been able to get the site to accept my payment … I will try again using your advice. Thank you. I will let you know how I go on.
