B12 injection 💉 course - for the HCAs & nurses . . .

On browsing on Eventbrite, found there's a 3h ONLINE course:

Title: INTRODUCTION TO VIT B12 INJECTIONS

Date: Fri 23 June 2023 . . . Time: 12noon to 3pm

Cost: £60-00 ( - all info as on Evenbrite, in public domain already!)

Provider: Birmingham Medical Institute & Palm Training

Qs:

a) does anyone know this organisation, & done one of its courses ?

b) done a similar online or in person B12 💉 course before starting SI?

Shall be pleased for considered insights & feedback from experience, & reasonable hearsay ! 😊 This, or something like it, may well be worth attending, . . . some⏳❗

( - . . . recently realised VERY occasionally there can be anaphylactic shock with B12 injections; a matter all SI'ers had better be aware of & prepared for, . . . without being overly concerned? Forewarned is . . . !).

REVISION: It does say ( on a re-look!) " ... suitable for healthcare assistants and new nurses" and "it is assumed all delegates will have undertaken IM injection learning" ( - so, ... clearly n⛔t for complete novices). Leaving this post, . . . as it may be of interest to some ?

As the course is called “An Introduction to vitamin B12 injections “ and that the participants are assumed to already have had training in I.M. injections , (which is the only method licensed for B12 injections in the U.K.) , I cannot for the life of me think what can be discussed / demonstrated for 3 hours on this course . ! And the cost of £60 ! I would be prepared to go on this course , just out of curiosity , but £60.00 ?

On their site , I didn’t like the soqund of “ Pharmaceutical Companies enjoy sponsoring our events” ! That raised questions for me !

. . . slowly becoming aware of the B-12 'territory' & opportunities, . . . in my area, . . . & online ! 😊 May be worth finding out a bit more about this 'training provider' . . . in due course !

For better or worse, 'BigPharma' will be doing copious amounts of 'sponsoring' - & perhaps even grant-giving? - from ⏳ to ⏳, . . . for its own purposes. 😊❓ 😟❓ . . . 😑❗Its up to us to decide which of its 'benevolences' to take advantage of - its revenue can only come from its customers, . . . in the main ! 😊

As far as I know, all the B-12 products we're using can only come from intricate biochem-tech of 'BigPharma' ! 😊 S🎯, may be its a matter of accepting the 'g🍒d', . . . while being WARY of the less acceptable, & worst practices ( - the protracted, & devastating ?oxycontin/?Fentenal scandal comes to mind!!❗ ... 😱❗).

. . . by remaining vigilant, . . . we can aim to keep ourselves as safe as possible, . . . & some - if n⛔t all - others !

At least in the US we have a lot of these types of courses offered for re-licensing. You're doing the courses often enough and you choose one that looks interesting. And sometimes in an interesting spot where you'll spend your time outside classes.

The class you mention is unfortunately ONLINE , so no combing of work and pleasure . . Even if it wasn’t online , it would be in Birmingham . -nothing against Birmingham of course, but there’s no beach…..

. . . yes, its ONLINE ( - as noted in the 1st line of post!) 😊 Of course, ForViolet was referring to similar in-person courses she has opportunities to attend.

Birmingham, however ... is said to hv more miles of canals than Venice, ... easily accessed at convenient ⏳s, . . . not least before or after a Zoom session ... for those who can still manage a walk ... along side a fragrant, cleaned up canal ! 😊 Canals lead to rivers, . . . & rivers lead to the sea ... ??❓

... at least this is one training provider which may be interested in offering a B12 self-💉ion crse, for the novice ... on request; shall enquire in due course !

I had my physician teaching me to do it all by myself in no time. Still doing it as hygienically as she showed me. Never looked back, I am now in charge and liking that very much!♥️
