I am scared of self injecting myself weekly B12 shot, currently I am spending lot of money going to clinics to get it. Any one tried Auto-Injectors for self shots into thigh muslces.

Please share your experience of using Auto-Injector

Haven't used an auto injector .Do my b12 Injections subcutaneously.

27-30G needle to inject.

Green 21 g to draw up.

1/2" long needle.

I use thighs and stomach 2" away from belly button.

Mat be less daunting.

Or a start ??

On the packet of b12 ampoules it says suitable for IM and SC

Just a idea

Thanks for sharing! I did multiple attempts to self inject using 23 Gauage needle into thighs and requested my friend to do it later. May be, I am very anxious to self inject myself

I suggest precisely what Nackapan has said: consider sub-cutaneous injections. I had intended to buy an auto-injector to get past the great trepidation I felt about IM, but I couldn’t really afford one. I then realised that sub-cut was an option and haven’t looked back as it’s really easy and not at all intimidating.

I have the union medico self injector and honestly don’t know what I would do without it. Works like a dream, I have never been able to self inject, I always had a family member do it for me until I purchased the self injector. Highly recommend!

Exactly the same as Shindig1…I’m a total needlephobe but using the auto injector I inject twice a week, I actually bought 2 incase one breaks…buy one…you won’t regret it 😊

Hey Maan2020

I inject three different medications on a regular basis. I tried an auto inject pen to discover I am far too much of a control freak to use them. Using a needle gives me a feeling of control but I understand others are phobic about them. I hope you find a method to suit you very soon but as Nackapan said, a SC injection is not difficult or painful.
