HI everyone.

I suffer with PA.

I live in Thailand and find that b12 ampoules are no longer available at any pharmacy.

They now only have the combination b12/b6 ampoules

I suffer with neuropathy if I don't take b12 injections at least once a week.

But I am concerned about overdose of b6 if I take a weekly si.

your advice will be greatly appreciated

Members of this forum get their B12 ampoules from certain German online pharmacies because here in U.K. , they are only obtainable by prescription. I have found a German pharmacy that will. supply Thailand with B12 ampoules , namely

apotal.de

You may need to use Google chrome to get a translation or use a translation app.

I have to tell you that I once sent a friend in Thailand a pack of B12 ampoules , and they never arrived . The Thai customs are a law unto themselves , so I feel that I have to warn you . Best wishes .

If you decide to order , you must , when you are filling out your address , FIRST ENTER YOU COUNTRY , or your post code etc will not be accepted , and you will be stuck !

Yeah I know about thai customs. My last order from Germany was blocked by thai customs. I tried to convince thai customs that it is only a vitamin, but they insisted that it was medication.

It is so crazy, because there are 2 manufacturers in Thailand, TP, and Ampavit, but they don't sell it in Thailand! I tried to buy direct from them, but they refused. They mentioned that it was for export only.

I called lots of local pharmacy here, and they all say the same thing, that their orders from the thai manufacturer are being refused!

I think that the Thai government have banned the use of b12 injections, but the combination b12/b6 injections are still available!

So stupid .

But I have now read that b6 is not toxic, even up to 1000mg a day.

I think that I am getting confused about b1 overdose?

Thanks for taking time to reply.

But I already know that trying to get b12 from Germany will be blocked by Thai customs .

I’m glad that you can at least get the mixed dose . Best of luck with it all . Thai customs are truly dreadful . And very corrupt . This i know ! They probably sell the ampoules.

Do you know how much B6 is in the injection? less than 25mg daily should be fine but I would avoid regular higher doses than that, especially intravenously/intramuscular. Some overdose symptoms have been observed at 50mg a day for longer periods but I think neuropathy only presents at significantly higher doses, of 100mg or above for a longer period. Check your other B6 sources such as a multi or b-complex so that you're not doubling up.

Thanks.

I will check how much b6 is in the complex.

Thank you for your excellent response.

Too many people are scared of any amount of B6 which is just as vital as any vitamin - as you say it dose rates that are important.

As it happens, the large pharmacy here now has stock of b12 only ampoules. 😀

I hooe you can get the b12 by itself. B6 doesn’t metabolize as quickly and symptoms of b6 toxicity feel the same aa b12 and b6 deficiency. I believe too much b6 was a cause of my progress going backwards. I was deficient in b6 too and taking under 100 mg per day orally and in less than 2 months my b6 level was almost double the normal range and I felt terrible. It took 2 months to start feeling better.
