hello,

just a question please has anyone used both cyano and methyl b12 injections either alternating them or switched during treatments, I have methyl b12 left over and just got a new prescription to try the cyano cobalamin, I am injecting tomorrow again and was going to use one or the other.

thank you for your comments

thank you for your helpful replies well thats interesting to inject them together well I'm getting ready to do my injection, I was doing really great then I took a 3 week break and my symptoms came back and my feet pain and ankle pain came back the pins and needles tingles in my body came back too with a lot of fatigue, but I starting EOD injections 4 days ago and it's getting better again, I was getting scared that I would be stuck like this. thats a fear of mine, especially in my feet. thank you all for all your support. I think I will do the methyl this morning. here It goes.

I noticed symptoms coming back in 3 weeks so I inject every week to keep them at bay.

A few years now. I managed OK on just sublingual B12 for many years before I started needing injections. I did EOD for a few weeks when I knew I was going to be away for 3 weeks (without my husband to give me my shots) and that worked.

Yes me too ! Just as Pixielula I have injected both at the same time.

Do what you feel is best for you.

I switched from cyano to methyl a couple of years ago as my neurological issues just did not seem to be resolving. I read many studies that stated methyl, a natural form of B12, was much better at resolving Neuro issues. Also, just a personal preference it didn't make sense to me to inject cyano over methyl as the prior is synthetic, contains a cyanide molecule which your already fatigued body has to go through an extra step, expending energy to cleave the cyano group and replace with a methyl group anyway. Methyl groups are used by your body for many processes and with cyano you are taking a methyl group and when injecting methyl it to must eventually be cleaved from the cobalamin but then it becomes a methyl donor useful for your body whereas with cyano your body has to expend energy again to dispose of this, albeit miniscule, toxin.I've also read a study that hypothesized (not definitive) that COVID causes a methyl "storm" in other words uses up huge amounts of your body's precious methyl groups. I wonder often if this is why I sailed through having COVID 3 times with very few symptoms as I was injecting methyl donors along with my B12?

Just to note there are many studies that say Cyano is fine so it's a personal preference.

Cyano is also much less expensive and more temperature and light stable. If you elect methyl it takes some extra care in refrigeration and keeping it out of light. I do have mine shipped in prefilled syringes (I'm lazy 😂) from New Jersey to California packed in an igloo ice pack. I've had no problems at all.

Best wishes, Rexz

Hello, can you share what company you order the pre-filled methyl syringes from? I am in the U.S. too. Thanks!

HI. Good question. I use only Hydroxocobalamin. From pascoe weekly injections and once a month with the GP for AG PA treatment. Had heavy reversing out initially and some nerve damage. I’ve not thought about mixing it and the finer solution on what treats symptons better but seem to be getting on very well with HYD.

What’s your expert group thinking on just using Hydroxocobalamin? Vs other types as lots of articles. Thanks.

Hydroxocobalamin is the only one available where I live. I am keeping the discomfort at bay but don't feel like there is any further healing going on. I have wondered if the Methyl one would be more effective.
