I've been self-injecting every day since last Saturday. Nothing that I have noticed in that short period of time. Am assuming it's safe ... can't think of a reason it wouldn't be.

I've done daily for 6 weeks. The only adverse effect is that I'm improving rapidly. :)

I did four and a half months of mostly weekly injections. Sometimes once or twice a week. Then in July I started with daily. I've been doing so much better. I don't know if it's because nearly six months is gone by or if it's because I'm now doing more frequent injections. I'll never know the answer to this I don't think.

I definitely started having more pain and symptoms when I started daily but I think it was just all accelerating the healing process. After about a week things really settled down significantly and I started seeing some big progress.

Lots of people on different message boards recommend taking folic acid or methylfolate. A lot of people also recommend keeping a super high potassium diet.

personally I don't like taking things that I don't need. My folate level was already at the top of the normal range so I did not take any folate supplements. I did keep a high potassium based diet by eating a lot of bananas and drinking coconut water etc. My personal belief is that it's important to do this at the start of injections. But after a few weeks or maybe even a month your body kind of adjusts and it's no longer as important. This is my personal belief and I know many people would likely disagree with me.

Yes I’ve been injectioning daily for 4+ months now and symptoms come back in mornings when I wake up, so will do that until I feel better.

Hi. I've been injecting daily for 15 months. No adverse reactions, only constant improvement. This site, and others, has been an incredible source of information.

I would strongly advise you to read all that you can about B12d/PA & form a view about what is right for you.

Good luck.

Do you still inject daily if so is it hydrox ?

And do you supplement along side your b12 injectins ?

Just when I think I’m ok I go down hill but gettting scared having to do this so frequent

Don’t seem normal

My Gp allows me monthly which is prob be on the floor with that

Why don’t our bodies hold on to the b12 if it’s a monthly thing ?

I am daily now if I don’t I end up on the floor breathless and very unwell

I’m so scared

I don’t want to tell my Gp that I’m daily injecting as they will frown upon this

And say it’s to much

So I’m getting panicky that is it a problem with kidneys or liver ? As to why we need so much of this ?

Hi Milley2.

So sorry to hear that you are going through a tough time. I really feel for you.

Hang in there as I've read and know personally that things can take a while to improve. Some of this would seem to depend on the length of time that your body has been deficient as well as your personal reaction to treatment. We are all unique human beings and each of us experiences a different B12D journey. There are no absolute answers as to why this is so.

I am not an expert by any means but I'm happy to share with you a little of my experience, if it helps. Many of the admins here are very knowledgeable and their advice is excellent

I'll follow this with more info, but wanted to send a quick message to offer you support and let you know that you are not alone, as your last message was sent a few hours back.

Stay strong x
