Has anyone tried daily intramuscular injections in order to get their levels up to prepare for an important event?
I have a week of exams running from 22 May through 29 May.
I am a 30 year old female and diagnosed deficient 2 weeks ago. I’ve had all the horrible symptoms over last 6 months so I am relieved to have an answer, I just hope I found out in time. Have had 6 injections in total, 5 on alternate days and the 5th and 6th on consecutive days. Last 3 were self injected. I felt good after the 3rd and 5th injection, but felt rubbish after the 4th and 6th injection, same symptoms as pre injections.
I know the importance of co factors so I’m taking 800mcg folate daily, 375mg magnesium, 15mg iron (in form of floradix) 15mg vitamin b6 and really trying to up my potassium intake with food and coconut water. is that enough?
Also have low ferratin and low folate.
Thank you

I've been doing daily injections - to amazingly good effect - for almost 4 years now and some people inject twice a day.
It's hard to say how long it will be before you get to your best as everyone is different, it depends on how long you have been deficient and you can run into other complications. I got quite a lot of immediate improvement but am still improving now in some ways, despite set backs from other problems.
I just wonder why you are taking extra B6? A little extra is fine but be careful because you can have too much.
Have you considered taking a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement with your extra folate, potassium, magnesium and iron?
A multivitamin and mineral supplement will give you a balanced range of just about everything you need, including some trace elements and other vitamins that you need.
