As safe as it is for anybody to take methylcobalamin.

The mercury in dental fillings is totally inert biologically.

That's what NHS dentists tell you - i.e. that mercury in amalgams is supposedly inert, whilst there is much scientific evidence to the contrary - in particular, modern (post 1970) amalgams often have a higher mercury content than prior to this date, and therefore continually 'off-gas' mercury vapour throughout their lives. For some reason there's actually no agreed safe maximum mercury content for dental amalgams! I would suggest 0% as it's such a nasty toxic heavy metal.

The following is taken from the 2017 scientific paper "Increased mercury emissions from modern dental amalgams

by Ulf G. Bengtsson1 and Lars D. Hylande" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

also quoted by SleepyBunny in this thread:

"The non-ɣ2-amalgams are marketed as superior in strength and corrosion resistance. When trying to meet these goals for development, a strong sub-optimization has occurred. In experimental set ups, these amalgams, being introduced in the 1970s, emit about ten times more mercury vapor than the ones previously used. Ordinary dental personnel, politicians and other decision makers has not been informed about the instability of modern non-ɣ2-amalgams."

I do not personally know of particular interactions of B12 and mercury that would contraindicate the use of B12 with mercury amalgams present - what I do know is that B12 helps our bodies work better in many ways, including aiding detoxification - therefore I deduce that it might stir up Mercury held in fat stores within the body.

Selenium is excellent at aiding the expellation of heavy metals, particularly Mercury, from the body.

I am not a medic, but I am someone who has done much research, including reading many source scientific documents, to aid my own recovery. I am also under the care of a private MD who is knowledgeable in such matters.

I had B12 injections for years before having my Mercury amalgams removed, and found much relief from the B12.

I have had my mercury amalgams removed by a qualified dentist with dental dams and separate oxygen supply, and increased my Selenium supplementation prior to the extractions, and continue to take the higher levels.

I hope that that is of some help.

Thank you get getting back to me. Can you give me the supplements you took after you had your mercury fillings removed

Yes, methylation of mercury doesn't happen in humans, it's just that some people erroneously extrapolate from fish metabolism. B12 deficiency is a frequent consequence of mercury toxicity. Good luck with your journey.
