Where can I buy b12 injections in the Uk? I’m struggling to understand the German websites :(

I am currently receiving 12 weekly injections, but after 7/8 weeks I just crash and all the symptoms start to return.

I got my last batch from mycare.de who have an English version of much of their site. I search for B12 Depot - here’s the results mycare.de/en/suche/b12+depo...

Most people go for the Rotexmedica brand. You can buy 10 or 100 ampoules at a time. The 100 is significantly cheaper per vial, especially when shipping is taken into account.

If you have problems with understanding some of the later pages try using google translate or, my favourite, their iPhone app.

These ampoules can be used for IM or SC injections.

Hi Foreverhopeful1 If you have a diagnosis of Pernicious Anaemia with neurological involvement you may be able to have your injections every eight weeks according to the N.I.C.E guidelines below. Click on the link, then on "Scenario: Management" and scroll down to "Treatment for B12 deficiency"

google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j...

It may be worth pointing these out to your nurse and doctor as they clearly say "Initially administer hydroxocobalamin 1 mg intramuscularly on alternate days until there is no further improvement, then administer hydroxocobalamin 1 mg intramuscularly every 2 months."

I am not a medically trained person but I've had Pernicious Anaemia (a form of B12 deficiency) for more than 46 years.

I wish you well.

Thank you. I’m going to go back to the doctors first but am so surprised how quickly the foggy head and the numbness has come back :( just looking at options as well because I like to be prepared. I really don’t want to keep feeling this way.

Thanks for your reply

Get the translation facility . Then you have more choice of suppliers . It’s not good to be reliant on one source . We found that out recently when versandapo.de changed hands and dropped their site in English . Amazon.de has its site in English. You can buy Hydroxocobalamin ampoules there as well .

I was recently told that you can translate the page to English. At least my mobile phone does that on Amazon etc or I think you can change language

I actually called my doctor first and he said he was happy to bring the injection date forward if symptoms we’re worsening again. Just phoned up and told the receptionist this and she booked me in for another.

Will buy a supply though :)

Hi, I have just been to the doctors and told him after 6-8wks of having my B12 injections my symptoms of anxiety, fatigue, a type of electric shock in my finger ends returns. He listened to me very kindly but didn’t seem to know what to do.... he wants me to have blood tests. Within an hour of my returning home the doctor telephoned me.. He had been in touch with the haematology dept at the hospital who told him it can happen that symptoms can return within six weeks... hence any future B12 will be given 6 weekly intervals for me... it helped me just to think the locum doctor cared.
