I’m at work so I can’t respond as much as I would like (someone on here surely will though). But put simply ... no.. I’m not a doctor but I got very ill with my PA on 1 every 2 month (shakes wheelchair had to leave job breathing difficulty so on) no I inject every 1-2 days as symptoms show and after 6 months or so I no longer need chair , i can work (all be it a sit down job i hate but still) and my symptoms are nothing compared to before and return far less.. I did have to move out of il for this though and drs that listened... here like a lot of eu you can buy to inject in pharmacy’s no prescription as harmless and docs seem to understand pa has some obvious and bad symptoms.. . Best of luck and I hope you feel well soon

B12 isn't toxic.

It is true that high serum B12 levels can cause a reaction that stops the B12 getting from your blood to your cells leading to a functional B12 deficiency but that is a bit irrelevant if you have had loading shots as these will raise your B12 well above the normal range and the reaction will already have started.

If you have peripheral neuropathy as a result of B12 deficiency then according to the current guidelines you should be on blood shots every 2 months.

On average people who are being treated for PA need serum B12 levels to be 1000. But this is an average - some need levels well above that and others will be fine in the normal range. Serum B12 tells you what is going on with levels in your blood - it tells you nothing about what is really happening at the cell level, which is where B12 really counts.
