I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia around 18 years ago and have had B12 injections every 3 months since. I have missed my last dose, I last had one end of Jan17 so should have had end of March but forgot therefore, I need to do tonight - do I need to double the dose?
many thanks

You have gone over 4 months without an injection . Have you had any ill-effects / return of symptoms ? I would just inject the usual amount ( 1mg I presume ) if I were you .
Yes I have😫I can't believe it myself,I Knew I was over the reason I hadn't made a note is I always inject myself but the nurse did my last one when I went for more supplies of needles and I'd forgot to put in my diary.
Yes Ive been really tired just wanted to sleep all the time, irritable, headaches, really forgetful infact more than normal!! Thankfully I've redone it tonight and have made a note. Yes 1mg I'll see how I go with the 1👍
most of the B12 you inject will just be removed from your blood in the first 24-48 hours - the rate at which it is removed increases as the amount in your blood increases so I wouldn't recommend going for a double dose - if you find that the dose doesn't have an effect or wears off quick er than normal that would be the point at which to do a catch up.
