I've seen a number of reports of people needing to adjust thyroid medication in response to B12 treatment - though not sure if it was upping or lowering. There are interactions between B12 and hormone systems.

Have you also posted this on the thyroid forum?

You certainly need all the vitamins and minerals to be optimal to get the most out of your thyroid. I know thyroid expert Dr Peatfield says some hypothyroid patients end up reducing their meds when their b12 has improved. Meds may have increased because symptoms where clouded by diagnosed thyroid problems rather than acknowledging b12 deficiency. I know that I am looking to increase my thyroid meds as my b12 injections have highlighted I still have thyroid symptoms, which have shown up in blood tests. Don't know if that helps but experts on the thyroid forum will know better.
