I've had more results back my total white cell count - is 3.9/l on a reference 4.00- 11.00

And mean corpus haemoglobin (MCH) 32.6 pg on reference 27 - 32

I read low white and high MCH can indicate b12 or folate deficiency.

In losing hair and have terrible brain fog and memory loss!!

Why not ask your GP for a B12, folate and other tests. I had hair loss too including intimate parts. The guidance says treat for B12 on clinical signs. List them all and speak to your GP . Others on the forum know more detail about this. Could try PA society too. I also had large red cells when my profile came back. Good Luck. Get well soon x

Hi thanks for your reply. I had my b12 tested and it's 411 ng which is not so bad is it? Folate was 9.2. I don't know what these mean though. I was just concerned over my enlarged red blood cells, is this what you had? And are you taking b12 and folate supplements? Has your hairloss stopped? I'm so desperate x

Yes I did have enlarged blood cells and this is a sign of PA. The level itself is not the only factor the symptoms are very important in diagnosis. The guidance says this. The hairless did stop with the injections and re grew. The angina disappeared. I would ring the PA society and get the reference for the guidance. You need to get better, your GP needs to listen. I would take someone with me. Good luck and get well soon x
