Side effects of madopar

Have just been prescribed madopar to help with the symptoms of " off" periods in addition to Sinemet and azilect .is madopar really helping the symptoms and any side effects

Madopar is Another brand of levodopa. Changing from Sinemet to Madopar I get but adding it I don't get. It's bad enough having to take several medication regularly without adding another one unnecessarily, when you can increase the dose/frequency of Sinemet. Discuss it with your Dr are you sure he's a PD specialist?

It's odd to be given both I think. They do the same thing.

Only reason i can think for giving madopar when already taking sinemet is the dispersible madopar ie that dissolves in water. Is that what you were given Kienan? Dont think there is dispersible sinemet.
