Madopar and HDT times

Can I take HDT (500mg) at exactly the same time with my regular Madopar dose (100mg/25mg), without fear of interference which may result in the loss of effectiveness of both or either of them?

Also is it relevant if HDT is taken on an empty stomach?

I take B1 and C / L at the same time and they work together fine. I also take with food, but that's just me.

I take C/L ER, which is generic for Sinemet CR. Regarding food, according to the Sinemet CR label: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailym... "The extent of availability and peak concentrations of levodopa after a single dose of SINEMET CR 50-200 increased by about 50% and 25%, respectively, when administered with food."

I do not have any rigorous protocol. I usually follow a dose with at least a snack, or a meal.

Thank you. I thought that ì had asked the question in a complicated way bcos I was using 'x' +/-. So i deleted the question aiming to recompose later. But since you've answered the questions adequately, I will re-paste the original question below .

Question to park_bear:

Hi PB, when you say 'I take with food', do you still leave a gap of +/- x mins to your mealtime? Where x can very low, I mean...

How low can x be?

Do you always eat light? ie do you never eat heavy?

Or do you have special diets that make your meds work with food?

I'm asking bcos my meds don't work with me if I eat +/-< aprox 60 mins meds time

Thank you. About a year ago I thought it was going to be my ticket. I read and researched and then tried it and gave up because my worst symptom is anxiety and I need calming remedies.

You might consider this supplement for its calming and antianxiety effects:

amazon.com/Source-Naturals-...

A word of warning :

These aren't the largest pills I have ever taken, but they are easily the hardest pill for me to swallow that I have ever come across and it requires two pills per serving which I generally have to choke down. I've tried chewing them, but the Holy Basil flavor is fairly strong! If the holy basil flavor isn't off putting, then these are worthy of consideration.

I find these calming in a similar way as mentioned in the reviews, which I highly recommend that you read. I really like this ingredient combination. If you decide to test this product for your anxiety, please give me your feedback as I am sure others with anxiety will also be interested since anxiety is quite common in PwP.
